Letter of Recommendation - Melbourne Mudbash 2019
To whom it may concern,
I employed Deadly First Aid for Melbourne Mudbash 2019, a quidditch tournament of 180 players in 12 teams held over 6-7th July 2019.
Quidditch is a mixed gender, full contact sport. Concussions and other injuries from tackling or colliding with players are common and we have very strict rules on continuing play if there is visible blood or a player is down for injury. For more information, please refer to the Quidditch Australia Injury Policy.
Furthermore, first aid at our sport requires a high awareness of non-binary and transgender players, as it is a main goal to have these players included in our sport at the same level as cisgender players.
We are extremely impressed with Nic’s Sports Trainer and first aid services.
Feedback from players has continuously been positive. They are fast and reactive, always hurrying onto the field if play is stopped for injury and quickly checking with players who remove themselves from the field when they are visibly in pain. They are very knowledgeable and understands the physical and mental demands of our sport, meaning they can treat injuries effectively and gives well considered advice on returning to play.
All of our players, regardless of gender or level of sports experience, feel comfortable going to Nic for first aid and are able to share any concerns to them in a supportive, non-judgmental and welcoming environment.
Nic always brings high quality equipment and supplies our players with lollies and hydration, which is an extra value add. They provide strapping services to players and gives tangible, actionable advice if a player has been injured.
The additional staff hired by Nic for our tournament were extremely enthusiastic and kept up the high quality of service we expect from Nic.
I highly recommend Nic’s services for your sporting events. They are professional, interested and extremely capable. They make a very positive contribution to our community.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or seek further clarification.
Kind regards,
Manon te Riele
